Enable project Archiving for Jira Work Management Standard

    • 3
    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

Currently, achieving projects in JWM becomes feasible when a JSW Premium/Enterprise license is acquired, as JWM is included in the package. This way the JSW Premium/Enterprise services also extend to JWM, since there are no Premium/Enterprise plans for JWM, only Standard.

We suggest the ability to achieve projects be available for JWM Standard as well, without the need for a JSW Premium/Enterprise license. JWM is offered as a robust standalone tool, and archiving projects would be a core feature for work management - important for the overall site and project health to ensure information is current and easy to find within projects. Additionally, it will be important that older information within projects
is still retained in an archived place rather than deleted or kept with
      current projects.

Strong agree. Archiving shouldn't be a premium feature at all, as essentially without it Atlassian are making it hard for organisations to scale (& JWM is all about scale). I don't have such an urgent need to archive in Software, or certainly JSM, but would need it for JWM. It really should be a Standard tier function for all products. Hopefully Atlassian focus on basic user needs rather than $ on this, as it's likely a blocker for some organisations to adopt Jira wider than ICT teams.
