Support JWM board to display all the statuses from multiple workflows

    • 46
    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

Currently, we have support for multiple workflows for different issue types however, currently, it picks the first workflow mapped in the scheme and ignores the other.

As a result of this, only statuses of that mapped workflow can be visible on the board. For issues belonging to other statuses, we must check these issues under "List" or "Issues". In order to change the statuses of these issues, it must be done from the issue details view by selecting the workflow from the dropdown.

[JWMCLOUD-123] Support JWM board to display all the statuses from multiple workflows

We really need this feature. Just create a menu above with the item type, and that will solve it. By selecting the item type, the flow will then load. Available.

(Portugues), Estou tendo que usar o Jira Software para criar um board , funciona bem, mas tem que pagar licenca.

Minha opinião é que deve-se a um erro de aplicação, a documentação diz que pode mas infelizmente não faz do jeito correto como board,

I use JWM to coordinate the development of charging infrastructure. Various workflows are used here for different locations. However, these are often similar in their status. It is a welcome function that I can use different workflows for different locations (issue types). However, for the sake of clarity, these should also be able to be displayed simultaneously in one board.

This feature request has been created since 2021. I hope that a solution will be found soon, especially since the whole thing is already possible in Jira Software.

This does seem like a regression. Utilizing multiple workflows reduces the functionality of the board. There doesn't appear to be any benefit to only allowing one workflow to be visible at a time.

This is indeed a bug. Why can you even use different workflows in JWM projects if the project board is unable to display them?

I can't wait for this ticket to sit in the "Gathering Interest" state for multiple years without any acknowledgement from the team, like the vast majority of issues in this project... 🙄

As I stated in my support ticket:

This silently released "feature" that takes away existing functionality should be treated as a regression. To restore feature parity, you ought to add:

            • The ability to select multiple workflows at the same time
            • The ability to set the default workflow selections for a board (for all users of that board)

What's even worse is that I can't find any announcements about feature changes, or history of release notes for Jira workflow management.

Yet another instance of Atlassian bungling feature development and release management. Was there any research that went into this new design at all?

Never had this issue until a few weeks ago, weird that Jira pushed through a regression. Would be much more helpful to see them all on one board

Just to add my further understanding, a project can still have multiple Workflows (Task dependent) but you can only select/view one workflow at a time, from the new filter option top-right. It would of course be ultimately sensible (and should have been done in the first place) to have the option to View (All Workflows) as an option, rather than be limited to choosing just one at any one time.

Agree, and another change enforced by Jira, that does not take into account the way clients are using the system, and no way to configure it back to the way it worked before. This needs to be remedied asap.
