As a user, I would like to be able to add issues to an epic from the ticket edit screen.

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Tickets get created all the time that belong to epics. It's inconvenient to always have to go to planning mode to assign them. Better would be to have an auto-complete epic field as part of the issue editing screen.
