On a Scrum board with swim lanes setup by Epic it currently shows how many issues there are in that subcategory.

Currently to view the status of these issues you have to expand that swim lane to review the issues.

It would be beneficial and a time saver to have the ability to see the status of the issues in that epic in the form of "Not Started, In Progress, Done" just like in the top of the planning window.

I'm not sure if it would be better to have story points (like in planning) or number of issues.
