There are Post functions that allow the user to copy field from a Parent issue to a Sub-Issue, I would like to see the same concept applied to a Story and an Epic.

The screens for the Post Function configuration would be the same, and it would assume that an Epic exists for the type. If the issue is not part of an epic, then the field will simply not copy over, no error should be displayed.
