I installed the latest version of Jira with GreenHopper that was available back in May and have since upgraded my Jira to 4.4.1 and GreenHopper to 5.7.4. My company recently purchased an unlimited user license for Jira so I attempted to export my data from my Jira and import it into that one. After starting the import process and being given the option of which project to import, there was an error:
The backup project 'Basin' requires custom field named 'Global Rank' with full key 'com.pyxis.greenhopper.jira:gh-global-rank'. In the current instance of JIRA the plugin is at version '5.7.4', but in the backup it is at version '5.7.1'.
There were 2 subsequent errors of the same type listed for 2 other GreenHopper custom fields. It seems that there's something wrong with how Jira is exporting project data and how it manages the version numbers for its plugins that have been upgraded.
I was able to manually change the GreenHopper version in the XML file so the project import would continue.
