When working in Kanban boards for projects that don't require an estimate process, we still need log our time spent working on the tickets. Currently, we need to open the ticket in the traditional issue detail's view in order to check if we have added any time already. We would like to have better visibility of the logged time without leaving the Greenhopper boards.

I see two possible solutions for this issue.

      1. Add the "Logged time" to the Issue Details tab in the right hand side panel.

      2. Add a new tab for "Work log" to the Issue Details panel on the right hand side.

I prefer option #2 as this would allow us to add/edit/delete our logged time without leaving the boards.

[JSWSERVER-6548] Add "Logged time" to the Issue Details tab or add "Work Log" tab

Additional vote given, with option #2 greatly preferred. Frankly, seeing this would be of greater use to us than being able to see comments.

Many thanks for reporting this issue. We see it as a valid feature request however we cannot provide any guidance at this time as to when, or if, we'll be implementing it.

I think this is the same as GHS-6254 (I'm all in favor for adding time tracking into the issue detail view)

Another use case is that if I see a task hanging around for a couple of days and the time remaining is not going down I don't know if this is because the task is taking longer than expected or the assignee is doing other things. Seeing the time spent will help a lot there.
