Rank to top/bottom do not work for multiple global rank field

      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Software Server. Using JIRA Software Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      If the JIRA instance is having more than one Global rank field, the rank to top/bottom only work for the original rank field.

      The expected behavior:
      Since it is allowed to have multiple Global Rank field in Greenhopper, the Rank to Top/Bottom should work for every global rank field has been created.

            Users don't expect an issue to be ranked to the top of all Backlogs, just to the top of the Backlog for the project to which the issue belongs. The reply by Jira Product Management states that there is limited demand, but this does not seem to be the case, based on the 40+ watchers and 20+ comments on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-75253

            Are you referring to the "Rank To Top" issue operation that appears on the View Issue page and in the "actions" keyboard shortcut (aka Dot Dialog)?

            Would you expect the operation to re-rank the issue to the top of all global rank fields?

            Could we get any update on this?

            • Global Rank is introduced by GreenHopper
            • Field is officially abandoned
            • Support can't even offer a step-by-step transition from the field

            We have projects which were started with Global Rank, we have no idea what to do with them, no support help, no official KB article.
