    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

We are having trouble visualizing the time spent/time needed to complete a milestone. What we really need is a horizontal bar chart that represents work completed on a milestone (in time) and estimated work to be done on the milestone (in time). It would also be very useful if it provided a indication of the currently worked time as well.

I have provided a mock-up of the thing that we would really need. The following inputs to the wallboard/confluence gadget would be:

      • project
      • field to list upon (could be fix version, Epic/theme, custom fields [important! - see below*], etc)
      • complete issue types (multi select of issue types)

Then the gadget would display the total time spent on any issue in the complete issue types (it could show the estimated time also, but that's not as important). The total time spent on new non-closed types and the estimated time.

It would be great as well to show when issues have gone over the top of their estimates.

      * I would like to explain the custom fields input:

      • We use a custom field called milestones to group our issues (that are just labels) due to the way we work with Kanban boards so would like to see the times associated to these issues.

This is a major problem we have with visualizing the estimated times involved with completing a milestone. The current Roadmap in JIRA/Greenhopper on shows a comparison of done/not-done issues which isn't a useful indicator.
