As a user, I want to mark certain boards as favorites so I can find them in my list of boards more easily

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Now that everybody can create their own Board in Greenhopper, it would be nice to add a feature that would show in the dropdown list only favourited Boards. Similar to the way we do this for Filters and Dashboards. The list of Boards is growing pretty quick and it is getting more and more difficult to find the Board we are looking for.

            Does Atlassian even care about users?    Boards are the heart of the tool and I can't favorite them?   Requested 12 years ago?    I would say "unbelievable" but this is unfortunately 1000% believable.

            +1 in 2023. This would be a huge help to my organization. We have 1 project with 20 boards, but some users are only interested in 2. Surprising that a project can have an unlimited number of boards, a user can star boards, but there's no clear advantage or use for this. Starring any boards does not put it at the top of the list in the board dropdown. 

            As a user, I want my starred boards to appear at the top of the board drop down so I can more easily navigate to the boards I want to use. 

            Please, please, please implement this!

            I'm astonished as to how after 11 years, such a simple fundamental implementation, with hundreds of votes, is still in limbo with no activity at all.

            I'm using version 8.20.2 of Jira Data Center and I still can't favorite a "Board" nor can I see a list of my favorited boards.  This would be a very useful feature.

             

            I would love to favorite my team's Kanban board so I can easily navigate to it.

            I can't believe this was initially discussed in 2012 and still hasn't been added as a feature yet. What's the point of even being able to favorite the boards if there's not a quick way to view them.

            It is hard to believe this functionality does not yet exist. I am forced to maintain my board links outside of Jira.
