As a user I would like to add a custom field from a third party JIRA plugin to my card

      GreenHopper does not yet support a custom field coming from a third party plugin. The GreenHopper mechanism for fields is based on the JIRA field type, classes like TextCTF. We will need to create a GreenHopper template for each type.

      For example:
      We would like to make the BillingKey field from the Tempo Plugin mandatory to prevent broken work log entries. However when trying to create an issue using the Card view in GreenHopper the drop down for BillingKey does not appear, just its label with an asterisk marking it as mandatory.

      Not being able to create issues in CardView takes a lot of the streamlining away that GreenHopper gives us.

            We use nFeed plugin for various scenarios and would like to be able to select thoose fields in the Issue Detail view. Great to have in next release!

            This is a big issue with large instances. Especially for those with in-house plugins providing our own customfield types.

            At the moment RapidBoards seem to not be able to have anything but text custom fields added to them?

            With the classic cards GH will only let you add custom fields that extend a subset of the standard custom field types, e.g. text but not cascading select. If you're writing your own custom field you can get around this by making sure you extend one of the supported classes.

            But is this only for rapid board? what about plain Greenhopper planning board? I need it most when I'm planning a sprint and I need to be able to add sub-tasks to a story in the session, and have the custom field (billing key) carry over from the parent to the sub-task. thanks

            Hi All,

            Please note that new issues created on the Rapid Board should be able to leverage these custom fields. As we continue to enhance the Rapid Board to integrate functionality from the other boards we hope to resolve this.
