It seems to have to do specifically the 'Velocity' tab of the Agile Gadget on JIRA's dashboard. The chart displayed in this tab overlooks the 'context' option and shows the chart you last see when you check Agile > Chart Board > Value Chart. This is true, regardless of the filter type you choose on the gadget. This is also user specific, meaning it will show the user's last access to that particular chart.

      For example:

      • UserA goes to Agile > Chart Board and selects the options: Default context, version SPRINT, Value Chart, Story Points, Children.
      • UserA will now always see that same chart when looking at his Agile Gadget > Velocity regardless of the context chosen. Changing the other fields, such as the version will still update the charts to the correct version type.
      • Any other user accessing the Agile Gadget will see their own chart, following the same condition as mentioned above. The 'context' option is also overlooked. Meaning, users will then see different charts depending on their cached history with the chart.
