JIRA with Greenhopper
Description
Hi,
In the Release Board view in Agile tab, it shows the completed Sprints, story points completed so far, and also has the target (total number of story points already estimated).
It would be really nice (and the Product Owners often ask this) for a prediction on when we might complete a project.
Note green-hopper has all the information, it knows the Velocity and can provide a trend line (already in the legend) but not shown, if the trend line could be extended until it reaches the total story points (in the future) this would provide a really good prediction and we could print the graph and show to all stakeholders. Future sprints could be different colour or opaque (to indicate future sprints)
As work progresses and stories added and completed, changes to the release prediction should be easily seen and decisions can be made if needed.
Additional information which could be shown: Number of expected Sprints needed to reach Total story points, Expected date, using release cycle period (calculated or averaged using release dates of sprint versions)...
