Error message when gadget authentication fails is misleading: "The issue specified no longer exists"

      When rendering GH card gadget in Confluence, I get the following error message (see screenshot):

      There are problems with the current configuration for this gadget. The errors below may have been caused by the deletion of entities required by the gadget or by changes to your permissions.

      • The issue specified no longer exists

      When I authenticate, the gadget renders correctly. It seems like when the authentication fails, JIRA provides a message suitable for an anonymous user, rather than suggesting that I might be able to log in to improve my chances of seeing the issue.

      This is actually a GreenHopper gadget, so if it actually their problem, please move the issue accordingly.
