When attempting to link a Jira issue, the list of links is now organized alphabetically by the link type name, as specified on the "Issue linking" configuration page, rather than being sorted by the most recently used link. 

we found that the change in behavior is due to a new feature that allows customizing the issue link types sorting, which was introduced in Jira 10.4:

It would be beneficial to have a sorting option available, especially when dealing with a large number of issue links.
