The request was simply to be able to compare date fields. That's it - a simple function that would allow us to better manage projects, find issues, improve our processes, etc.

Atlassian commented in 2016 that there were no plans to add this functionality. I believe it was basically closed at that point, but the Resolved date shows 2024. The Resolution is "Won't Do".

Here we are in 2025 with people still asking for this functionality (users still commenting the need for this). This is a very basic need to manage projects - compare two date fields with JQL. Please reconsider.
