Indenting numbered lists in Jira's rich-text editor doesn't follow normal conventions

      Issue Summary

      Indenting numbered lists in Jira continues uses numerals instead of alphabet characters or Roman numerals

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Insert a numbered list in the Description field with rich-text enabled
      2. Indent the following line

      Expected Results

      Numbered lists are displayed as the following, as seen from an example issue when viewed on a Confluence page:

      Numbered lists are displayed as the following:

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available

      Note

      • We tested this behavior in 7.13 and it was still present- it's likely numbered lists have followed this convention since rich-text was introduced in Jira 7.2
      • It's also interesting that displaying the same issue in a Confluence page results in the expected nomenclature for numbered lists, suggesting a rendering problem in Jira
