The National Vulnerability Database provides the following description for this vulnerability: Any project that parses untrusted Protocol Buffers data containing an arbitrary number of nested groups / series of SGROUP tags can corrupted by exceeding the stack limit i.e. StackOverflow. Parsing nested groups as unknown fields with DiscardUnknownFieldsParser or Java Protobuf Lite parser, or against Protobuf map fields, creates unbounded recursions that can be abused by an attacker.

            Hi,

I remember last week when we have checked your security bulletin the recommended upgrade was to 9.12.18 LTS and now we see that it's also fixed in 9.12.15? Which one is it?

In your Security Bulletin you are writing that 9.12.0 to 9.12.17 (LTS) is affected. But here in the ticket you are writing that 9.12.15 is fixed. What now? Is 9.12.15 affected or not?
