Capacity for past iterations/sprints not displayed if “Enhanced capacity distribution” feature is enabled

    Description

      Issue Summary

On Advanced Roadmaps for Jira timeline it's possible to see the capacity assigned to a sprint (for Scrum) or iteration (for Kanban). This is visible in the form of a vertical bar representing the work associated to it.

There's an early access feature for Advanced Roadmaps for Jira which is enabled by default called Enhanced capacity distribution.

Reference: Using Portfolio early access features

If the early access feature Enhanced capacity distribution is ENABLED we do not have the capacity for iterations in the past:

If you disable Enhanced capacity distribution you get a different behavior. On this screenshot you can see that the capacity is properly calculated even for iterations in the past (see the half green bars), the yellow vertical line represents "today":

This behavior is not documented on Understanding team capacity

This is reproducible on Data Center: yes

This could not be reproduced with the same steps on Jira 8.20.15 using the last non-bundled version of Advanced Roadmaps for Jira.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Have the Early Access Feature “Enhanced capacity distribution” enabled (it's enabled by default).
      2. Create a a Kanban board and use it as the source for a Plan.
      3. Since capacity is only visible when grouping by Team or Sprint, create a Team so you can assign issues to it.
      4. Create several issues and set their target start/end date to values in the past and a few in the future for comparison.
      5. Add Estimate values to them so capacity can be calculated.

      Expected Results

The vertical bars showing the load would be populated for iterations in the past and future.

      Actual Results

Only future iterations will have the capacity represented on timeline.

      Workaround

The problem could be replicated only if the “Enhanced capacity distribution” feature is enabled. It's possible to disable it and restore the ability to show capacity for past iterations.

Administration (⚙) > Manage Apps > Advanced Roadmaps for Jira (section) > Early Access Features. Unselect the Enhanced capacity distribution.
