Documentation detailing performance impact related to the amount of data being loaded in a plan

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

Advanced Roadmaps Plans can be configured with various sources, including boards, filters and projects. This allows for massive amounts of data to be loaded in a single plan, which can end up causing poor plan loading times.

Having an in-depth documentation which details best practices when selecting / configuring sources, as well as showing the impact that such sources have in a plan loading time would be extremely valuable in educating users on configuring Advanced Roadmaps plans. For example:

      • Correlate number of releases with the loading time of a plan
      • Correlate the number of issues with the loading time of a plan
      • Is there a breakpoint with the amount of data loaded in a plan before significant performance degradation is experienced?
