      With the release of Advanced Roadmaps (formerly known as Portfolio for Jira) 3.0 and later, the use of classic plans will not be supported (reference: https://confluence.atlassian.com/advancedroadmapsserver/3-migrate-classic-plan-data-to-a-live-plan-968677265.html).

      However, starting on Jira 8.15.xm Advanced Roadmap, Advanced Roadmap is embedded with Jira install.

      When Jira Administrators do the upgrade from an older Jira version to Jira 8.15.x and higher, they may not be aware that there are Classic Plans created by the Advanced Roadmap users, causing the following problems:

      • Previous Classic Plans were not migrated to Live Plans and they can not be more accessed, forcing users to create new Plans;
      • The Advanced Roadmap menu option "View Plans" fails to load the list of plans due to https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPOSERVER-2995

      We would like to clearly state at the Upgrade checklist page from Jira 8.15.x and above that Advanced Roadmap users must migrate their Classic Plans prior to the upgrade.
