Issue Summary
Currently in the Improved Interface, when building a CPR, one must select from preexisting Releases in each Software Project that is in the Plan.
Previously in Live Plans, one could build a CPR and then push out the Release to multiple Projects in the Plan and it would create a Release in the Project.
Previous documentation: Creating and configuring cross-project releases
Current documentation: Releases in Advanced Roadmaps - see the Cross Project Release section. The release will not be saved to Jira Software, it is only in ARJ.
Steps to Reproduce
- Build a Plan in Advanced Roadmaps.
- From the Releases tab, select Create release next to the project name.
- Name your release, add a description, and choose the project and release you want to add. Then select Add release.
- Repeat to add as many releases as necessary.
- When you’re happy with your release, select Create and your new release will be added to the plan.
Cross-project releases are only used in Advanced Roadmaps and cannot be saved to Jira Software.
Expected Results
CPR releases will save to Jira Software as previously.
Actual Results
The release is only present in ARJ.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
