Problem Definition

When using the redesigned planning interface, if users create a cross-project release, Jira does not automatically create a project release on each project involved.

This was different when using the old interface. Whenever users created a cross-project release, it would automatically create releases on each related project, after committing the changes on Jira Portfolio

Suggested Solution

Allow users to configure this behavior when using the redesigned interface. Users might want to have the versions automatically created, instead of creating releases and linking them at the cross-project release creating

Use the old plan interface
