      Business Need:

Dependency management view is not giving very good insights.

      • Very limited filter options.  Missing filters such as a view of current or next sprint (blocked or blocking in current or next sprint).
      • No counts (ex: total number of dependent issues; total number of dependent issues by dependent team – similar to the heatmap view we created for the Portfolio areas to count # of Sub-Initiatives; etc).
      • Grouping by team helps a little bit. The navigation is pretty horrible (can’t scroll up or down as scrolling zooms).
      • What do the colors mean for the lines?  Would be nice if there was a way to commit to a request dependency date OR based on sprint boundaries and then visually see if that dependency will be met or not.

      Value Statement:

As a Product Owner, I want to view the dependencies between issues (both internal and external) by each sprint, release or project so that I can identify the blockers, prioritize issues accordingly and plan for sprints, releases and PI efficiently.

      Acceptance Criteria:

Ability to filter dependencies by sprint, release or PI

Ability to view dependencies map/links within the roadmap view

Ability to view issues by sprint or release and then turn on dependencies view to highlight only the dependent and required issues.

Ability to control and assign the required item first prior to dependent item

[JSWSERVER-24933] Improve dependency map to display by sprints, releases or projects

            Additional Requests:

            1. Alphabetize all lists under Settings. Both Links and Issue Content are alphabetized, but seems like someone forgot to alphabetize Issue Colors.
            2. Allow for searching on all lists. This is available on Issue Content, but not on Links and Issue Colors. For example, I can type "F" and see all options that begin with "F"
            3. Allow multi-select on Issue colors
            4. Filter by "Jira Query / Filter" not just project. When your organization has 100++ status types, it would be nice to be able to pair down what you are viewing
            5. Increase content width allowing more characters to be viewed on Issue Content, Links and Issue Colors.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but this is project-related.

            +1

            • Ability to group by Sprint would be nice. Also to be able to reduce issues by filter (maybe the same filter applied in Roadmap)
            • Also to hide DONE issues would be great, otherwise there might be a lot of done dependencies, that are not relevant but take a lot of space

Addition to this request: Allow filtering dependencies by types on Dependency Map view (relates to, satisfies, is a prerequisite for... etc)

Additional suggestion: The stickiness of the navigation (dragging) of the map is very difficult and seems to be counter intuitive. The zoom vs drag function is confusing. It will be good to have a - or + buttons or links for that operation.
