I used to be able to double click a line or summary card and switch to see the big card - I no longer can do that in GH 5.0 and I am now forced to open the issue in Jira iframe - slowing everyone down. I really want this feature back

[JSWSERVER-2221] Switch to summary or card view with a double click

I'm not quite sure why this issue has been closed - only one of the two requirements specified at the beginning ("double click a line or summary card") has been met. It's vital to be able to click on a summary and see the full card - without this feature, the summary view is pretty much useless...

We use a large touchscreen which everyone stands in front of and moves tasks between columns by touch. The new interface is very hard to use now, since we can only "double tap" a very thin border on the left side of the card. Double clicking the Summary field to edit it, instead of double clicking to expand or contract the card, was NOT a useful feature to add. If we needed to edit the cards, we would use a mouse and keyboard, since it normally wouldn't be done in the stand-up. But being able to "double tap" the Summary field to expand and contract the card while we are in a stand-up was extremely useful. And a feature we sorely miss since upgrading.

Also Chris we have added a keyboard shortcut GHS-2500 "t" to toggle the issue views in the next release.
            Should be very handy.

            Cheers,
            JC

I didn't know about the left side grabber also allowing double click to
switch. People think of that as drag and drop. But good question - I'll
run it by my ux folks - I think you are right - that could work.

What about the left hand side (the grabber)?
This should always let you switch views if double clicked on.
Do you really think we should introduce a new icon and take more space for this functionality?

            Cheers,
            JC

One thought on this feature (maybe I should open a new issue) - I think it
would be MUCH easier to use if instead of clicking on whitespace (which is
hard to find) you expose a small icon like the icon used on the iPhone 4 for
flipping the camera. e.g. I could tell people to easily 'click that rotate
icon' instead of showing them how to click on whitespace, and frankly it
would be a much faster operation.

            Thanks Jean-Christophe for the information!
It there a chance that the switch from summaries to cards (by double-clicking) will be supported soon? This would be great

            No Luc,

It works on any boards as long as you are showing your issues in the "List" mode.
The double click is not supported from Summaries to cards.

            Cheers,

I've just tried the new greenhopper version, and it seems that the double click only works on planning board view: is there something to do in order to enable this option on the taskboard too ?
