Problem Definition

As of now, once a GitHub account is added (Linking GitHub accounts) if the actual user (owner) of the oauth app on github leaves the organization there's no way to refresh/edit the existing DVCS Account on Jira with a new Client ID and Secret. In case of ownership change in Github, we need to recreate the DVCS connection for the same github organization/account as there is no option to edit the DVCS account.

This can cause significant delay as we'd need to redo the initial sync for the entire Org/all repositories which can be time-consuming and performance intensive.

Notes:

Recreate/Create the DVCS account connection from scratch using a service account for GitHub.
 

Suggested Solution

Please add the ability to edit the Client ID and Secret so that Jira admin can just Edit existing DVCS account configuration for a GitHub Org/Account.
