      Problem

As an admin or member of the team, I would like to be able to view and manage the backlog in the Jira Mobile app.

      Suggested Solution

Add a Backlog section to the Jira Mobile App, much like in the Jira Cloud Mobile App, or even as a column in the board.

      Why This Is Important

      • As an administrator, I get a notification when a new issue is created.  The issue is, according to best practices, sent straight to the backlog.  Since I cannot see the issue in any way on the app, the notification is not very useful, and I have to go to the computer to see or respond to the issue creation.
      • For some teams, the Scrum Master is not the only one managing the Backlog.  Whether in Backlog Grooming sessions as a group, or simply managing the Backlog as a best practice, day-to-day, this functionality is needed to keep the whole team aligned.

      Workaround

      1) Access the backlog on the web, through a browser, instead.

      2) Disable the built-in backlog and enable a custom column for backlog in the Kanban.  This defeats much of Jira's built-in functionality for Backlogs, however.

With respect to #2 of the workarounds listed, that option would not work for scrum teams. The backlog is built in and there is no way to disable it.
