JSWSERVER-8975 has has a lot of traction, but was apparently closed off back in 2014 to move to the greenhopper project.
It would be convenient if I could configure quick filters to function as an OR search instead of AND.
Currently, if I click on filters 'A' and 'B' I will get results that match both filters but not one or the other.
I would like to select 'A' and 'B' and be able to see issues that belong to either 'A' OR 'B'.
It's possible to define the filters as Labels != "A", and so on, but it would be preferred to simply be able to configure a board to apply quick filters as an OR search.

please add a toggle button that allows users to quickly switch between AND and OR searches when activating multiple quick filters.
It is very surprising that such a simple but necessary functionality has not yet been implemented \
I need this too. Have a huge backlog of epics and we use adv roadmaps to filter on multiple conditions for example all epics assigned to person A OR assigned as TEAM = Person A. Right now would need to set this up as 2 filters/views instread of 1 which is annoying. Would be helpful to support an "OR".
This would be awesome to have, and to make it even better, the user could select AND / OR criteria for each filter.
This feature would make Kanban boards more user friendly and excite your customers. It would allow meetings to flow faster and reduce our costs/time in meetings - also relates to JSWCLOUD-26843 As a user, I want to be able to choose between an AND keyword or OR keyword when more than one quick filter option is selected. - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products. 2 for the price of 1 
When multiple quick filters focus in on urgent items, having the AND is very useful.
It would be good if the quick filter configuration could allow an optional group tag for each filter. This way, quick filters could be associated into groups. Quick filters in the same group would OR when combined. Quick filters in different groups would AND when combined. If a quick filter has no group assigned, it would be treated as being in its own group containing only that one filter. Existing quick filter configurations would have no groups assigned and would therefore work as they do today: each quick filter is in its own group and would AND when combined with any other quick filter.

I have a number of quick filters on priority (i.e. priority = critical, priority = major, etc) - And selecting more than one results in zero issues.
Seems like a no-brainer to enable OR filtering.
This is quite a simple feature, let's implement this! There's a lot of interest, especially for Product Managers
