Description

Issue Summary

Per JSWSERVER-8665 : Autocomplete for Epic Link in JQL, Auto-completing functionality for the "Epic Link" field was introduced in Jira Agile 6.2.2, and this was formally written into the release notes for Jira Agile 6.3: JIRA Agile 6.3 Release Notes

However, documentation for https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/advanced-searching-fields-reference-939938743.html#Advancedsearching-fieldsreference-epic_linkEpiclink incorrectly states that Auto-complete is not possible with the Epic Link field. This can be seen as far back as 7.0 documentation through latest (8.4 at the time of writing).

Existing documentation as well as templates for future documentation releases need to be revised in order to clarify that Epic Link supports auto-completion.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
