Problem Definition

In Jira 8.1, As a user I would like to resize the Detail View in Work mode feature was introduced to allow users to resize the issue detail view.

If the board is configured with 5-6 columns and the issue detail view is resized, part of the Column view will be hidden. Some users would like to content in the whole columns to viewable in board view without the need for scrolling.

Suggested Solution

Allow the content of the board (columns) to be rendered within board sidebar and issue detail view dynamically. This way, when the issue detail view is resized, the column view will be resized as well to prevent part of the column view from being hidden.

Workaround

Disable the resizeable issue detail function by adding com.atlassian.jira.agile.darkfeature.flexible.boards.disabled feature flaf in dark feature page. To do this, refer to the documentation below:
