The new red highlight colour in menus and searches makes text invisible to colour-blind users. See example below

Atlassian needs to do some basic accessibility testing when making changes like this.

Please update to a higher contrast colour selection. If you really have an attachment to dark red, using white text is much clearer. Better yets would be to choose a lighter background colour.
