    Description

      Issue:

The following error messages continue to display in Jira logs after disabled HipChat for Jira plugin.

2018-04-09 20:30:44,856 hipchat-client:thread-3 WARN [c.a.p.hipchat.token.DefaultHipChatTokenRefreshService] Token with name [AddonToken(6)] refresh failed with status code [401]. Error message [Authenticated requests only. See https://www.hipchat.com/docs/apiv2/auth for more information.]. Turn on debug mode to see stack trace.
2018-04-09 20:30:44,862 hipchat-client:thread-3 WARN [c.a.p.h.connect.synchronise.ModifyDescriptorSynchronisationActivity] Authenticated requests only. See https://www.hipchat.com/docs/apiv2/auth for more information.
com.atlassian.hipchat.api.ErrorResponseException: Authenticated requests only. See https://www.hipchat.com/docs/apiv2/auth for more information.

      at com.atlassian.fugue.Option.map(Option.java:272)

      Step to reproduce:

Unable to replicate as hipchat.com is currently being redirected to stride.com.

      Investigation:

Hipchat.com was installed for Jira Data Center and hipchat integration was removed at some point from the integration page.

If HipChat integration plugin is disable to avoid the API error message, it will slow down the application restart process as mentioned in below KB,
      https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/disable-hipchat-integration-plugin-slows-down-application-restart-941590920.html

      Workaround:

Make sure HipChat integration is disabled under "Administration"-> "Applications" ->"hipchat".

If still receiving the API error message, delete everything under the following table will stop all API messages.

      AO_5FB9D7_AOHIP_CHAT_LINK
      AO_5FB9D7_AOHIP_CHAT_USER
      AO_587B34_PROJECT_CONFIG
