As a scrum master / manager I would like to see (in a task board type view) the assigned backlog and "in-progress" tasks for all sprint resources

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

The planning board shows tasks assigned to individual resources (assignee view) for a project (or for a context filter) but I can't see the tasks for all each team member at the same time and the tasks are only those "assigned" without knowing the work state.

I would like a view similar to the Task Board (Outline View) but with Team resources (assignees) as the headers (like the Issue header with sub-tasks under as in current task board) and the tasks assigned to them (for the selected "version") in the various columns (to-do, in progress, done etc). The Unassigned tasks would appear at the bottom like the current "Other Issues" grouping. The new view might be called the "Resource Task Board" (the current being "Issue Task Board")

In the same way that GH 4 shows the total column "remaining estimate" and the "remaining estimate" for each Issue header (in the current Issue Task Board) then the remaining estimates would be shown for the column and individual resource (for each column).

This view would be very useful for the SM and team to review the resource loadings during the scrums.

While moving cards (summaries or list items) between resources (to re-assign) would be a useful extension it would not be necessary if technically difficult (re-assigning can be done in the card view). In this view moving cards between columns would maintain the current assignment regardless of the user actually moving the card.

The major advantage of this view is in quickly showing the overall resource backlogs and in-progress items

            Hi Bill,

I am resolving as duplicate due to GHS-579. Thanks for your comments on both this and the other issue, greatly appreciated.
