      Problem Definition

      Currently, we cannot set a Story's Fix Version field from the Epic Link it was created.

      Suggested Solution

      It would be great if JIRA can provide feature to set Fix Version automatically for each issue created under an Epic

      Why this is important

      Currently, we will need to manually set fix version for each of the issue created by epic one by one which is time-consuming. Hence having a feature to automatically set the fix version of each created issue under and epic automatically will reduce lots of overhead work when using JIRA.

      Workaround

      Can use Bulk Update the fixVersions of the issues linked to a certain Epic from time to time. It's still a manual action but it limits it to one action per Epic instead of changing the fixVersion of every single issue by hand.
