Summary
In a Scrum Board, users may drag and drop issues in the backlog to rearrange them. In Chrome and Firefox, there is an issue where if the browser is not at 100% zoom, the act of dragging and issue does not properly open up the blank slot to drop the issue in, making it harder to identify where exactly the issue will be dropped.
Better visualized via screen capture: JSW-15633.mp4
Environment
Testing in JIRA Software 7.3.0 and 7.2.0
Reproduced in Chrome and Firefox
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new Scrum Board
- Add at least 3 issues to the backlog (more will make the effect more visible)
- Set the Browser Zoom level to 100%
- Attempt to drag and drop an issue and notice that there will be a space in between the issues for you to drop the issue to
- Set the Browser Zoom level to anything else besides 100%
- Attempt to drag and drop an issue.
Expected Results
The same space between the issues will open up to help visualize where the issue will be dropped.
Actual Results
This space does not appear; a very slight visual cue is given where the border between the issues will be slightly thicker.
Workaround
Operate Boards at only 100% browser zoom.
