JIRA Cloud (sitecrafting.atlassian.net)
BitBucket Cloud (bitbucket.org/sitecrafting)
Hi,
I followed these direction to setup DVCS Connector between our JIRA Cloud and BitBucket Cloud accounts:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/getting-started-with-bitbucket-and-jira-cloud-692420669.html#notfound
And it appears to be working, but the uptake and processing of smart commit messages takes a very long time. The last one I tried took 38 minutes to show, and I believe I am still waiting longer for my latest test.
I googled around and found this issue with a quote from Megan Cook that reads:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/DCON-379
"If you have webhooks installed, then you should see updates coming through within minutes of the action taking place in GitHub. The periodic syncing that the DVCS Connector does is just a backup measure incase the webhooks fail. If you're seeing updates take longer, please raise a support ticket so we can help troubleshoot your instance."
I checked the BitBucket repository webhooks screen for my repositories and I do not see any webhooks listed, so I think I must be in the same boat as the original reporter of DCON-379.
Can you advise me on what steps I can take to ensure that smart commit messages are picked up and processed more quickly? Is there any way I can populate the missing webhooks myself? Or should I hang on and stand by for a bug fix?
Love the product line. I just returned from Atlassian Summit 2015 and it was awesome.
Thanks!
