Ability to create a branch inside JIRA for Github Enterprise

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

Currently Stash and Bitbucket is supported for creating branches from JIRA on Dev Panel.

It would be great if you added support for Github Enterprise.

Any thoughts on reopening this issue and supporting other flavors of GIT? We already have DVCS configured to catch commits using GHE and associate them with our issues this feature would be a very complementary addition to have.

Hi all!, I love to use Jira Software every day. But it seems inconvenient for the user that branch can't be created in the branch.

Github API has developer api for creating reference(mean as branch, https://developer.github.com/v3/git/refs/ )

Could you put creation branch function when we connect github?

Thank you @Benjamin Morgan for making this clear (which is more than I can say for Megan who just closed the issue without a definitive answer)

"Thanks for the request everyone. We strive to support teams using GitHub with the best integration possible given their APIs etc. and you will see this reflected in the next features we release. While this is not currently on the roadmap for the near future I have tagged the linked issue so that it is easy for us to find and investigate for future projects.
            Cheers,
            Megan
