Exception occurs when create a issue from Scrum Board in non-English language

Summary

JS Exception occurs when user create a new issue from Active sprint UI. A red error dialog appears as attached.

  • Mac OS

  • Firefox 47, Chrome 51.X, Safari 9.1.1 on Mac OS X
  • IE Edge on Windows 10

Steps to Reproduce

It’s easy to reproduce by clean install.

1. Install JIRA Software 7.1.8.
2. Install JIRA Service Desk 7.1.8 in addition to JIRA Software instance above.
3. Change user’s preference language from English to Japanese or Spanish in Profile UI.
4. Create Scrum software project newly, or you may use existing project.
5. Create a sprint and create some issues in backlog, then drug and drop these issues into the sprint.
6. Start the sprint, then you should go to scrum board as Active sprints UI.
7. Create a new ticket from Active sprints UI, by clicking 'Create' button in JIRA header.
8. Exception occurs as attached.

Note:

• The same error occurs even if you install JIRA Service Desk first, and then install JIRA Software.
• This error doesn’t occur in Atlasssian Cloud environment.
• This error doesn’t occur in English.

Expected Results

at 8 above, a new ticket should be created without exception.

Actual Results

The exception occurs. Exception in each browser is different by browser. but occurs in same line.

Workaround

Currently, there is no workaround for this problem. User needs to go other UIs to create a new issue.
