When an issue on backlog is in different project's Epic (not part of agile board filter), then the Epic Name is not visible on Backlog view.
However, on Active Sprints view, the Epic Name is visible.
As a user I'd like to see the Epic Name on issue's row the same way as it is displayed on Active Sprints view.
See screenshots for more information.

JSWSERVER-9769 Cross project epics prevent from creating sprints

Another observation
Because we cannot see Epic Names (Epics from different projects) on our stories in sprints, we tried to add these Epics from cross-team project into our board filter:
or for those having ScriptRunner installed to include all other Epics where my team is involved:
However, this requires Manage Sprints permissions in all those projects where Epics are included. This complicates the situation a bit. This is described in linked
JSWSERVER-9769issue.Therefore it's necessary to display Epic Names on sprint issues automatically without the need to include other Epics into the board filter and requiring additional permissions in other projects.
