      Hello.

      It would be useful to us to be able to see the work description in the Issue Detail View, without having to go to the issue's view screen. In general it woul be better, I think, if we could configure the system fields in the issue detail view the same way we can configure custom ones. Perhaps a "System Fields" section in the board's "Detail View" section wouldn't require too much effort.

            [JSWSERVER-13525] Work Log should be visible in the Issue Detail view

            I echo last 2 comments from Lynne and Tijs ... would be VERY useful during stand-up meetings to be able to easily view and discuss with team members!

            I am part of a team that develops different internally and externally facing media assets - documentation, demo videos, captivate files, etc.   We don't directly develop software or products, but we use a Kanban board in Jira to manage Work-in-Progress so it has visibility (and "related info") to development items elsewhere in JIRA.   

            Each asset is a "task", and we book time we spend creating that asset in the Work log for that task.   From our team's perspective, it would be easier to manage our day-to-day directly from the kanban board.  So, while we can easily "Log Work" from the ellipsis menu, we can't quickly view the work log on the Issue Detail View.    Adding to the original poster's suggestion, we don't typically need the "Development" and "Estimation" sections, so it would be great if we could remove those 2 sections from the view and replace it with the Work Log.

            This is a pretty bad user experience. A user should simply be able to log work on an issue from the issue details view.

            The only two methods to log work:

            1. On a Dashboard > Any Ticket List Gadget > Action Menu
            2. Any Issues and Filters View > Must be in "List View" > Action Menu

            We need this function, our users are very accustomed to using the Kanban board as a discussion of work tracking, but it is very inconvenient to confirm that the user's worklog still has to go to a single Issue for confirmation.
