Add to Sprint option not available for jira-users when creating Issue at Active Sprints view

      Hi everyone,

      We have recently reviewed this issue and the overall interest in the problem. Since the issue hasn't collected votes, watchers, comments, or support cases from many customers during its lifetime, it's very low on our priority list, and will not be fixed in the foreseeable future, i.e. in next 6 months.

      Although we're aware the issue is still important to those of you who were involved in the conversations around it, we want to be clear in managing your expectations. The Jira team is focusing on issues that have broad impact and high value, reflected by the number of comments, votes, support cases, and customers interested. Please consult the Atlassian Bugfix Policy for more details.

      We understand how disappointing this decision may be, but we hope you'll appreciate our transparent approach and communication.

      Atlassian will keep the issue open and continue to watch this issue for the further updates.

      Summary

      1. When logged in as administrator, the user is able to create an issue, from the active sprint view, using the Create button. After creating the issue, there will be a pop out which says "Your issue XXX-XX has been created but is not currently visible. Add to Sprint X"
      2. The user is then able to click on Add to Sprint X and add the issue directly to the active sprint.
      3. However, this is not possible if the user is logged in as a jira-user. He is given the edit & schedule project permissions to add issues to sprint but there is no Add to Sprint X option when creating issues on the Active Sprint. He will only see "Your issue XXX-XX has been created but is not currently visible." Please refer to the screenshot below:
      4. This jira-user will have to go back to the backlog and drag the issue from the backlog to the Sprint

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Login as a jira-user
      2. Start a sprint
      3. Go to Active Sprints
      4. Click on Create button from the top navigation menu & Create issue.

      1. Go back to backlog
      2. Manually drag & drop the issue from the backlog to the on-going Sprint.
