Even though Kanban boards do not automatically show Story Points on issue cards, that field is excluded from the list of fields that can be added to a card using the "Card layout" configuration page. There seems to be a number of fields that are exempt from that list.

I suggest either removing those exemptions (even if a field is already on a card, why not just let me add it anyway?) or fixing the exemptions to consider the board kind.
