Documentation seems to be lacking

With Atlassian forcing hosted customers ("OnDemand") to go to a sprint / rapidboard model, I'm being required to migrate much of my automation to said model.

Unfortunately, I read that many of the greenhopper APIs aren't documented ("use the REST API browser!" or "Read the code!"). I'm not a developer and have no desire to need to become one; my ability to call API's is more than adequate at the moment. I also read on an issue that your plan at atlassian has never been to publicly release or sanction the use of greenhopper APIs other than ranking.

Is this, in fact, the case? If not, is there a way to accelerate that documentation?
