With GHS-7573, we have the ability to edit Sprint fields using the sprint name. But this feature never made it into the bulk-edit operations.

Clear UX/UI issue that apparently goes back an entire decade. I would be embarrassed to release software in this state.

When looking up how to obtain the Sprint ID from Jira, the first link that google took me to was a page from Atlassian that shows that you need to hover over the sprint name for a ticket assigned to that sprint...I was thinking there was some mistake, but no.  This is how to obtain that ID which is critical for use in different JQL statements.

Atlassian - seriously, you have to do something about this.  That is not the way to a) expose that information to users b) how to design Jira itself.  Jira could be a great tool if all the features weren't cobbled together as an afterthought.

I don't mind having to use an ID to update the sprint, as I understand if there are duplicates, then there would be conflicts. But...why is the sprint ID not more visible when you are looking at your sprints? It seems like there is only ever "back door hacks" to find out what the number of the sprint is. Like display it in brackets or something...I had to hover over one of the menu buttons and read the last bit of the web address...that's not a good user experience.

Wow, this is still not a feature. And someone had to write this page knowing what a horrible user experience this is: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/jira-software-how-to-identify-the-id-of-a-sprint-779159065.html#:~:text=Go%20to%20an%20issue%20that,the%20end%20of%20the%20string.

Come on Atlassian and the Jira development team... Please fix this for your Jira cloud users. It should be an easy fix since you are referencing columns upon importing...
