I am trying to print a Jira Agile Version report, and the burnup chart does not show the dates on the printed report. I tried changing to landscape mode to make the report wider, and that didn't help. I am printing the report from Firefox and IE on Windows 8, and using the CutePDF PDF printer driver. A copy of the report is attached. The legends show up in the next page.

In the years since my last comment we migrated to Jira 7, and Jira 8, and this is still broken. Thankfully we're all working in paperless offices now.

Is this improved or changed in later releases JIRA Software v7? We are considering upgrading...

matt.doar, it's not great but unfortunately it's a bug with the charting library.
We do plan to address this bug, if the report is not updated to the newer charting framework we use, but it's prioritised with the other bugs and so will be addressed accordingly.

            Kind regards

            Martin,

Taking a screenshot as a workaround is pretty ugly! Please would you give us another update. Being unable to print pages or convert them to PDF makes creating reports for executives in enterprise organizations more difficult than it needs to be

dwight.holman, I don't have any additional information for this issue, we do plan on addressing it but cannot give a timeline at present.
As noted above as a workaround I suggest taking a screenshot and printing that.

            Kind regards,

Hi guys, do you have any update on this issue? Any idea when work on the enhanced reports will happen?

I would add that the dates are not the only issue. The vertical y-axis labels are also missing. I assume that the fix for this would address both x and y axis labels.

The problem lies in that the dates that would normally be visible are inaccurate when printing. When the page resizes to print, the labels and plot area do not scale together. This is a bug in the Flot charting library. To avoid misinformation we hide the labels during printing.

As a workaround I suggest taking a screenshot and printing that.

            Regards,

            Hi tpozzy,
We can't really guarantee how the reports will look when printed, I'm afraid, but the JIRA Agile team are currently working towards solutions that will print better. One possible workaround might be to take a screen grab of the chart and add it into the pdf.
            Regards,
