Rank field not configurable for Context and Project Template in JIRA Agile Classic

This is a big function lost in Classic boards, when Greenhopper team turned to develop new rapid board, you said "Classic Boards are no longer being actively developed"(see https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/Using+the+Classic+Task+Board ), but not said "Classic Boards will lose functions in the future". Because Classic boards are quite fit for our project management, and Classic Chart Borad is much powerful and useful than current rapid board. That's why our company decided to buy JIRA and nearly 1400 people are using JIRA and Classic Boards everyday.Due to this Issue, I can not drag and drop cards for ranking in Classic Boards any more. this really impact our daily work on Classic Boards. and stop us from upgrading JIRA and Greenhopper for next year. I think this Issue is really a Major BUG, and has to be fixed ASAP.
