When editing an issue, I want to be able to assign it to a sprint, so I made the sprint field visible. This creates a text field named "Sprint" with no drop-down, validation, or other expected UI.
If you do a little digging you can figure out the numeric ID for a sprint, which works if you enter it in the field. But this certainly isn't acceptable, particularly for unsophisticated users. The current implementation requires users to know which numeric IDs are which sprints, which is really not practical.
