As a greenhopper user I would like to have the option to chose the 'Epic Name' as 'required' or 'optional'

As a greenhopper user I would like to have the option to chose the 'Epic Name' as 'required' or 'optional', but 'Epic name' field is locked, as a user we can't edit this custom field.

In some user case, users don't want to use the 'Epic name' field but it's always required, no epic issue can be created without fill in the 'Epic Name'. Therefore, the 'Epic name' will also show up at the 'view issue screen', which is annoying when user doesn't need it.
