becauHi,
I had this request today.
filling our planning board for the next SCRUM, we have the following problem:
1) Filter issues on : Severity, priority
2) This shows a list in the best order for us to solve the issues.
3) We would like to rank this list for top to bottom, to reflect this selection in our planning board. For this we would have to be able to batch change the rankings of the JIRA issues.
When we currently go to the planning board, the sorting order does not reflect the sorted order in the filter. Having a lot of issues open, it takes a lot of work to manually change the ranking in the planning board. Is there a clever method of adjusting the ranking to reflect the filter sort order.
It seems to me it would be nice to be able to say "Take the order the issues appear to me in right now and set this as the ranked order", with appropriate warning and permission restriction of course.
Cheers,
Ximon
To work around this issue in GreenHopper 6.1.3 or later, please try the following steps:
- Determine your preferred rank order field (for example, I'll use Story Points)
- Create quickfilters for each valid Story Point value - ex, Story Points = 1, Story Points = 2, Story Points = 3, Story Points = 5, etc
- Enable the quick filter that corresponds with the lowest-rank tickets
- Select all Cards shown
- Disable quick filter
- Right click one of the Cards that are still selected
- Select Rank To Bottom
- Repeat steps 3-7 until complete
