    Description

I started to work a with the (Rapid) Board … but I must confess that I’m missing hardly some features which gives me a better “helicopter view” - and not only a limited sprint (plan mode) and active tasks focus (work).

Yes - I'm aware of all the concepts of agile development.

But this does not replace an overall vision where do you want to go.

It's just not being able to see the forest for the trees

So the goal is to have e.g. an overview about potential releases (e.g. quarterly based) and one up to thirty epics per release.

      Target group: Product Management, C-Level

I think this is one of the essential downsides compared to the "classic" mode.

We are still working in classic mode on 24" monitors and small fonts - and it provides an excellent overview compared to the new board which takes the complete screen.

No - I won't expect a UI which is useable on every device (smartphone, tablet) - to the contrary if this would lead to "one-size-fits-all" approach just to ride the mobile device wave.

Next to that, we need to drag and drop Epics from release to release, quarter to quarter (or sprint to sprint which is usually around +/- 2 weeks) - so ideally based on the the complete long list of all items.

I took a look to the Pivotaltracker (e.g. Public project: Open Tapestry https://www.pivotaltracker.com/projects/102714/stories ) and I discovered immediately some real neat features I really would like to see in GH.

So I’m not suggesting to extend the current "plan" mode, but adding an additional mode like "big picture mode", "forrests mode" or "vision" mode – some kind of "zoom out".

      Looking forward for your feedback.
